I initially left a five-star review, but after later repairing the door myself for $17—compared to the $3,000 quote I was given—I felt it was important to share my full experience. I contacted A1 to see if a technician could route a new tensioner cable on one side of the door, which had become stuck at an angle after the cable on the opposite side broke. The technician spent over an hour on site, much of it sitting in his truck, before concluding the door was “unrepairable,” even with my assistance. He then quoted nearly $3,000 for a full replacement or offered to “cut me a deal” by speaking with his boss and cutting the remaining cable for $100. When I said I would cut the cable myself and leave the door shut, he pushed back and responded, “Well what did you expect when you called?” Based on my experience, the service felt more focused on replacement options than exploring practical repair solutions.

I have used Precision Door before and the service I have always received has been superior. Today, I had one of my door openers that I have had for 8+ years had older technology. Still worked but was very noisy. Thought I might be wearing out the motor. Thought that it needed possible adjustments to make it operate better. Was given same day appointment. The tech, Dominique had many years experience . Thoroughly checked it out and determined it was operating correctly. There was some wear on some of the gears (plastic). Could not repair or replace the parts. I could replace the opener and gave me several options and associated costs. Said he. Could not predict how long it would last but waiting was one of the options. You have no idea how much I appreciated that. And believe it or not he did not charge me ANYTHING!!! Teagan Cluff was an excellent technician! He helped out with a broken spring and hinge. We ended up replacing both springs & the hinge. The garage door is working like it was new. I had an issue, but Jack Walker came out the next day and fixed us up. Both were extremely professional & were very good at explaining what was wrong & how to fix it.

Needed a new garage door. They came the next day (I made the appointment online). When the representative came to my house and he showed me different styles and colors. Made my selection. When the installers came, they were very polite and professional. I was very pleased with everything that was done. They added extra sealant around the garage (at no charge) so no air leakage. Good thing as within a week we had a bad snowstorm with high winds. ASll in all was very pleased with the whole experiemnce.

The technician was great. The initial price was totally unreasonable but after some discussion I accepted the price. There were some issues with the weatherstripping and it had to be manipulated a few times but I think it’ll be fine after some adjustments were made. Again, I can’t stress enough how awesome the actual installer was. The picture shows how the light was coming in around the door upon initial installation. I will post the after pictures soon.

We were having some very loud noises coming from our garage door every time it opened and closed. We called Precision Garage door and they responded very quickly. We were told our joists were needing replaced, we needed 2 springs instead of 1 to take stress off the joists, and new rollers (where most the noise was coming from). All in all was pretty comparable pricing for all that. And it included a 7 year warranty for anything and everything! Our technician also worked with us and our need for the comparable pricing with his manager. Thank you Precision! And thank you to Teagan our technician!! He was very knowledgeable and friendly!!
